What is ECDSA verification?
Verification uses the EC public key to check that a signature was produced by the matching private key over the given message.
How to use
Paste an ECDSA public key in PEM format, the original message, and the signature. Choose the same hash used during signing, and the correct signature encoding.
FAQ
Why does verification fail?
The message, signature, key, hash, or encoding doesn't match what was used to sign. Confirm all four.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. Everything runs locally.
If verification fails
Common causes: wrong curve (P-256 vs P-384 vs P-521), wrong hash, or the signature being in DER format instead of raw (r, s). Most libraries and languages produce DER signatures by default; the browser API here expects raw bytes.
