What is case conversion?
Different languages and systems use different naming conventions. JavaScript prefers camelCase, Python and SQL use snake_case, URLs and CSS classes use kebab-case, and constants use CONSTANT_CASE. Converting a phrase between these by hand is tedious and error-prone.
How to use
Type or paste text. The output updates as you type. Numbers are separated from words (so user2FA splits into user, 2, FA), and acronyms are kept together where possible.
FAQ
Does this handle non-English characters?
Yes. Unicode letters are supported, including accented Latin characters, Cyrillic, and Greek.
Can I use a custom separator?
Use snake_case for underscore, kebab-case for hyphen, or dot.case for periods. If you need another separator, copy the output and use your editor to replace.
Why does my acronym get weird casing?
Ambiguous runs of capitals are split into individual letters. To keep them, avoid mixing cases in the input.
