What is Brotli file compression?
Brotli (RFC 7932) compresses files significantly smaller than GZIP, especially for web content. It is used for HTTP response compression and by package managers.

Are my files uploaded?
No. Compression runs entirely in your browser using brotli-wasm, a WebAssembly build of the reference Brotli library.
How large a file can I compress?
Brotli has no streaming API in the browser build, so the file is loaded into memory. Files up to a few hundred MB work on most machines.
How do I decompress the result?
Use Brotli Decompress File, or any tool that supports .br files, such as brotli -d on the command line.
